The Michigan Association of REALTORS®, along with MCAR and a host of other local REALTOR® associations, are teaming up to help agents and homeowners alike navigate the often confusing foreclosure avoidance process.
The Foreclosure Avoidance Comprehensive Training (F.A.C.T.) program, led by Will Weaver, teaches how to handle all aspects of a difficult situation with the goal of reaching the best possible resolution for all parties involved. Topics include:
- Counseling your clients
- What to say to the bank
- Negotiations
- And much more
F.A.C.T. takes place Thursday, July 23 from 2 pm – 5 pm at the Embassy Suites in Southfield (28100 Franklin Rd.). The event is free, but seats are limited, so register early at MCARonline.com or by calling (248) 879-5730. The program has been approved for three hours of continuing education credit.
Homeowners invited
A F.A.C.T. evening session for homeowners at risk of foreclosure is also available for that day, from 6 pm - 8 pm at the Embassy Suites. There, they’ll find out what options are available to them as well as the tools and resources that will help them through these tough times.
Representatives from the Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA) will be available to speak to individuals with specific questions concerning programs available through the state of Michigan, along with various other organizations that offer homeowner counseling and assistance.
REALTORS® are strongly encouraged to promote this event to clients and prospective clients. Download this flyer to distribute.
